Schwerpunkt meiner Forschung ist die gesellschaftliche Produktion von Migration, Diversität und In/Exklusion und die Bedeutung, die dabei Räumen zukommt. Aktuell arbeite ich vor allem zu Geographien der Migration medizinischer Fachkräfte sowie zu urbaner Governance von Diversität. Besonders interessiert mich, wie verschiedene Akteure und Organisationen daran beteiligt sind Räume der Migration und Diversität/Differenz zu produzieren, was das beeinflusst und welche Folgen es hat für gesellschaftliche Strukturen, Ein- und Ausschlüsse und ihren Wandel.

Seit November 2023 bin ich Juniorprofessorin für Sozialgeographie und Reflexive Migrationsforschung an der Universität Osnabrück. Zuvor arbeitete ich als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Geographie und Institut für Migrationsforschung und Interkulturelle Studien (IMIS) der Universität Osnabrück sowie am Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung multireligiöser und multiethnischer Gesellschaften in Göttingen. 2018 wurde ich an der Universität Osnabrück mit einer Arbeit zum Thema „Die Produktion von Diversität: Städtische Verwaltungen und die Beschäftigung von Migranten und ihren Nachkommen” promoviert. Vor meiner Promotion war ich wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Promotionsstipendiatin am IMIS und u.a. in einem Projekt zu sozialer Mobilität bei Nachkommen von Eingewanderten tätig. Ich studierte Soziologie und Politikwissenschaft in Freiburg und Paris und schloss mein Studium mit einem Master in Soziologie der Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris ab.

My research focuses on the social production of migration, diversity and in/exclusion and the role space plays in this. Currently, I work mainly on geographies of migration of health professionals and urban governance of diversity. I am particularly interested in how different actors and organizations are involved in producing spaces of migration and diversity/difference, what influences this, and what consequences it has for social structures, in/exclusion, and societal change.

Since November 2023, I am assistant professor (Juniorprofessorin) of Social Geography and Reflexive Migration Studies at Osnabrueck University. Before, I worked as research associate at the Institute of Geography and the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at Osnabrueck University and at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen. In 2018, I received my PhD from Osnabrueck University with a thesis on "The production of diversity: urban administrations and the employment of migrants and their descendants". During my PhD, I worked as a research associate and PhD fellow at IMIS, among others in a project on social mobility among immigrant descendants. I studied sociology and political science in Freiburg and Paris and hold a Master in sociology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
